Over some years we have developed a degree of expertise in acting as media relations advisers to trade bodies.

We act currently for three of Scotland’s leading trade organisations, SELECT, the voice of Scotland’s electro-technical sector, the Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers’ Federation (SNIPEF) and Print Scotland, the body which represents the country’s print industry.

Trade bodies need to communicate their activities and opinions to a variety of audiences notably, their membership, but including also governments and local authorities, the wider business community, and the public.

Members of trade bodies, especially, appreciate news stories and commentary in the mainstream media on how their organizations are articulating causes as well as lobbying influencers and decision makers in government.

In turn, mainstream news outlets value the views of trade bodies, judging them to be representative, broadly, of the majority view in economically important business sectors.
