The average garage mechanic is paid £74.33 per hour in some parts of West London, according to a survey from Warranty Direct, which describes itself as “a leading warranty provider”.
This is equivalent to an annualised salary, assuming a 40 hour week, 50 weeks a year, of £148,660.
PM David Cameron is paid £142,500.
