1. In less than 45 words, give us an Elevator Pitch for your business.

Our business relies on the fact that, as yet most people have not quite yet figured out how to resolve their arguments. As solicitors, that’s what we do, we help people resolve their disputes in life.

2. What do you like the most about your job?

The opportunity to work in a law firm where I’m passionate about driving our values and shaping our culture.

3. What has been your best moment in business?

2022 as a whole has been the best year I have experienced in business. We have challenged ourselves, redefined our values, our culture and invested in our team. This has given rise to exceptional personal growth since I have witnessed first-hand some incredible tangible, positive impacts and developments.

4. What lessons have you learned that you would pass on to others?

Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Be ready and willing to challenge and be challenged. Be mindful, pay attention to yourself and others – particularly what is left unsaid.

5. Tell us about your first job and any unusual jobs you’ve had in the past?

I wouldn’t say I have had any unusual jobs. My first jobs were working in my parents’ businesses. They had four different businesses in which I was involved, including an architects’ firm, a café, self-catering holiday cottages and a chip shop.

6. What do you hope the future hold for you and your business?

2022 has been a special year for our firm. We have added incredible talent to our team, increased the number of clients we help, and achieved our most successful year financially. I hope we continue to build on that by working with existing and new members of the team who share our passion and drive to provide the best working environment and deliver outstanding legal services to our clients.

7. Away from work, what do you like to do?

I love to spend time with my wife, our dogs and friends. An afternoon spent in the cafes and pubs in the south side of Glasgow is always a good one.

8. What’s the last book / concert / Netflix series you most enjoyed?

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Huge / I recently saw Biffy Clyro for around the twelfth time / Dead to Me.

9. Where is your happy place?

In front of the fire with a nice glass of red after a walk around the Uplawmoor Glen.

10. If you could invite any three people, living or dead, to have dinner with, who would you choose?

My dad, Kate Winslet and Louis Theroux.
